Q1. How does it work?

Fun Space provide a fully managed solution for leading organisations that want to create family-friendly workpalces. We provide quality School Holiday Programs that run from 8:30am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday during the School Holidays in your workplace.

The process starts with our team doing a site inspection and risk assessment of the space and surroundings. From there, we will put together a tailored program for your organisation along with enrolment forms which you can share with your team. All parents will have full access to our dedicated enrolment support team to guide them through this process and answer any questions they may have.

Then it's a matter of doing a little bit of paperwork and then it's over to us - we provide all the supplies and materials, incursions and excurions and will bring the fun to your wokrplace with our qualified teachers and experienced entertainers!

Q2. How much does it cost and who pays?

Contact us for a detailed proposal tailored to your organisation.

Some organisations choose to subsidise the cost in full and others contribute 50% of the cost with the parents contributing the other 50%. Our Parent Portal makes payment super simple if the latter is the case.

Q3. What is included?

The Fun Space Program includes a value aligned program tailored to your organisation and the local surroundings, iPads for secure electronic sign in and out each day, digital news feed for parents with photos and videos of their children taking part in the Fun Space Program, an online portal for parents to manage their enrolment and access to a dedicated enrolment support team.

Q4. Is there a minimum or maximum number of children?

There is a minimum number of 10 children and no maximum. Fun Space is all about making that elusive work-life balance a reality no matter how big the organisation may be.

Q5. How much space do you need?

Ideally we would like a minimum space of 3.25sqm per child. If you don't think you have the space on site, we can help you make alternative arrangements for the venue.

Q6. What insurances do you have?

Fun Space is fully insured with $20 million Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Q7. What qualifications do staff have?

Each and every member of the Fun Space team have been hand picked and fully trained. We employ a mix of qualified educators with Level 2 First Aid (minimum) and both Anaphylaxis and Asthma Training, and highly experienced entertainers with acting backgrounds. All staff have valid Working With Children Checks (NSW, VIC, WA), Blue Cards (QLD) or Screening Checks (SA).

Q8. What do parents need to provide when enrolling their child into a Fun Space Program?

Parents will need to complete our simple online Enrolment Form which requires them to provide Medical Action Plans, Immunisation Schedule and Birth Certificate.

Q9. What time does the Fun Space Program start and finish each day?

Parents can drop their children off any time from 8:30am and pick up any time before 6:00pm.

Q10. What should children wear? What do they need to bring?

Children should wear suitable comfortable clothes depending on the time of year and weather as well as the planned activities for the day such as appropriate shoes and sports clothes for outdoor recreation activities. Children should always bring a water bottle, sun hat, raincoat and medication appropriately labelled (including a valid Medical Action Plan). Suncreen will be provided.

Q11. What food do children need to bring?

We recommend packing nutritious snacks for morning and afternoon tea as well as a suitable and filling lunch. Parents can also sign their children out of the program to take them out for lunch, which is one of the many benefits of running a workplace school holiday program!

Q12. What are the age requirements for the program?

Children must be attending primary school and aged 4-12yrs.

Q13. What is the ratio of Fun Space staff to children?

We provide a 1:10 ratio ensuring that all children have more than sufficient care, attention and support throughout the day.

Q14. What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made with more than 7 days notice can be made without charge. Within that period there are no refunds for any cancellations. Cancellations should be emailed to Fun Space's Enrolement Support Team support@funspace.com.au or by calling 1800 FUN SPACE (1800 386 772).
